First, the Brooklyn Creek Watershed Society will hold it’s Annual General Meeting on Wed., Nov. 8, 2023 at the Fisheries Office at 148 Port Augusta St. Comox at 7:00 pm sharp. All are invited to attend and find out what is happening in the background of the BCWS. If you are interested in becoming a director, we would love to meet you! If you are coming, please send a simple “Yes” to so we can plan best.
Second, we will have a round of invasive plant removal (weed whacking and hand removal) in last year’s planting area, as well as some fill planting and a general cleanup. Here’s your chance to see what has been accomplished alongside Brooklyn Creek, as well as see firsthand a working dairy farm!
Please join us Tues. and Wed. November 7th and 8th, 9-12 and 1-4pm both days. We will proceed rain or shine unless the forecast is looking treacherous! Just show up at Birkdale Farm, 1836 Guthrie Road, Comox, at the morning or afternoon start times (9am and 1pm) so we can go in as a group and not disturb the farm. Wear appropriate clothing for the weather. If you arrive late, please contact on-site Mikala (613-532-7020) and someone will meet you at the Guthrie Road gate. Mark your calendar!
