Items that have been used for publicity in recent years.
In May 2024 and 2025 we attended the “River Never Sleeps” Festival, a celebration of the vibrant living ecosystem we share on Vancouver Island. Click on photos to see more detail. Below the photos is a list of materials needed with suggestions.

The large sign with the map was the biggest draw to engage visitors. They liked to see where they lived in relation to Brooklyn Creek.
Instructions for setup and showing of tent, banners, and literature for festivals or public education.
Items needed are:
Tent
Display banner
Display Panels
Stickers
Brochures
Grab bag
Large clothes pegs hold signs
TENT is the heaviest item, needs 2 or 3 people to set up and take down. Ensure that it is completely dry and shake off debris before storing.
DISPLAY PANELS (3) hold together with 6 wood pieces that are marked with numbers. Watch for the small PINS that go into corresponding holes.
DISPLAY BANNER with the map attracts many visitors. The tubes and base are put together first, and then the cloth fabric slides over from the top. It needs weights to hold against breeze, use heavy bricks or stones. Protect from scratching the steel base with a cloth. There are instructions inclosed. There is a second, brand new Display Banner FRAME that has no cloth cover, so it is not needed.
POSTER is kept in a cardboard tube, also gains good views from the public.
GRAB BAG contains scotch and duct tapes, big clips, push pins, elastics, name tags, felt pen.
NAME TAGS are used to show that we are friendly and approachable.
